Sauvé has always been an elite goaltender. As a teenager playing for the Whitby Wildcats Minor Midget Boys AAA, she led the team to an OMHA Championship and was the first woman to play in the OHL Cup in 2012.

In 2013/14 she played for the Whitby Wolves Junior Team, which she was selected from to Represent Hockey Canada's U-18 Team at the IIHF Under-18 Women’s Worlds. She helped lead her team to a Gold Medal.

After junior, she joined the Ohio State Buckeyes. Sauvé earned All-American honors in 2016-2017. The following year, she posted a 19-9-4 record with 10 shutouts, .938 SV %, and a 1.88 GAA. She also set the Buckeyes’ record for shutouts - with 22 in 88 career games played - and saves.

After graduating from Ohio State in 2018 with a degree in Sports Industry, Sauvé played for the Clarkson University Golden Knights. While earning her MBA, she started 36 games, posted a .937 SV%, a 1.71 GAA, and was second in the country with a 27-7-2 record. She set a University record for saves, was an ECAC All-Star, and was named Goaltender of the Month twice. Sauvé made the historic feat of back-to-back Frozen Four appearances with different Programs.

After her time at Clarkson, Kassidy joined the PWHPA. She spent the 2019–20 season with the organization's New England hub. She made her PWHPA debut at the Dunkin' Showcase in 2019, winning it with Team Stecklein. She also played for Team Turnbull, Team Scotiabank, and Team Sonnet.
In 2022, she moved to Finland to play pro for HPK where she recorded a .964 SV%, and a 0.88 GAA in the regular season. In addition she was a carded member of Hockey Canada's Senior Women's program from 2019-2022.

Sauvé is currently playing for the Buffalo Beauts in the Premier Hockey Federation.
